Acceptable Use

1Scope

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to every Account, Company and piece of Content on the Platform. Where a term is defined in the Terms, it has the same meaning here. Effective 9 August 2026.

2Prohibited conduct

• Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, and mass-scraping profiles, listings or messages.
• Impersonating a person, a company or us, including through a lookalike name, a copied brand, or a link whose visible text does not match its destination.
• Publishing content that is unlawful, that harasses or threatens a person, that incites violence or hatred, or that sexualises a minor.
• Publishing personal information about another person without a lawful basis to do so.
• Uploading malware, or content designed to interfere with the Platform or another user's device.
• Probing, scanning, overloading or circumventing our security controls, rate limits or access gates, except as section 5 permits.
• Using the Platform to build a competing dataset or service from data you did not create.

3Listings and commerce

• No illegal or prohibited goods and services, and none you are not licensed to sell where you sell them.
• No listing that misdescribes what is being sold, its condition, its origin or its availability.
• No manipulating a rating: no fake reviews, no incentivised reviews, no reviewing your own listings through another Account.
• No transaction structured to move a sale off the Platform in order to avoid the fee after using the Platform to find the counterparty.
• No use of the checkout to test stolen payment credentials, and no order placed with the intention of charging it back.

4Automated access

The only sanctioned automated access is the read-only Model Context Protocol server, within its published rate limit and against public data only. Server-rendered pages may be crawled subject to our robots directives. Everything else, including headless browsing of member pages and API calls made with a session cookie you obtained by logging in, is scraping and is prohibited.

5Security research

We welcome reports. Test only against Accounts and data you control, do not access, modify or exfiltrate another person's data, do not degrade the service, and give us a reasonable period to fix an issue before disclosing it. Research conducted within those limits, and reported to [email protected], will not be treated as a breach of this policy and we will not pursue a claim over it.

6Intellectual property complaints

If content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trade mark or other right, write to [email protected] with: your contact details, identification of the work and of the material complained of, the URL, a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

Canadian copyright law operates a notice-and-notice regime: on receiving a compliant notice we forward it to the user who posted the material and retain the required records. Separately, and as the operator of the Platform, we may remove or restrict material under the Terms. A user whose content is removed may contest it under section 8.

7Reporting and what happens next

Content can be reported from the surface it appears on. Every report reaches a person. We record the report, the reason and the count.

Content that accumulates reports from enough distinct members is removed automatically, the owner is notified with the count and the reasons, and a record of the removal is kept so it can be reviewed. One person cannot drive a removal on their own: reports are counted per reporter, not per report.

8Enforcement and appeals

Depending on severity we may remove content, restrict a feature, pause selling, suspend one Company, or suspend the Account. Suspending one Company does not affect the others under the same Account unless the conduct spanned them.

You may contest any enforcement decision by replying to the notification or writing to [email protected]. Tell us what was removed and why you believe the decision is wrong. A person reviews it, and we tell you the outcome and the reason. Where we were wrong, we restore what we can.
